Peter Hansen, aged 80, died suddenly at Cedar Palls on the 20th, of old age and a complication of diseases.

He was a great lover of poetry and wrote many meritorious poems to the various kings of Denmark, and was at one time considered very favorably for poet laureate of Denmark.
