Robert Lee Pratt was born on August 31, 1928, in Lime Spring, Iowa, son of Robert E. and Nonia F (Morris) Pratt. He graduated from Lime Spring High School in 1946.

Robert moved to Waterloo, Iowa, in 1947 and married Marilyn Reese at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on August 20, 1950. After marriage, Robert joined the military and served in the Korean war. He retired in November 1984 after working 36 years as a supervisor at Rath Packing Company. Robert enjoyed fly fishing for trout and golfing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and United States Golf Association.

Robert passed away at Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the age of 90.

He was preceded in death with his parents. Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn Pratt; his son, Robert Pratt Jr.; granddaughter, Lindsey Pratt; and great-grandson, Gunner Pratt.
