Max J. Epperson, 64, of Evansdale, Iowa, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at his home. He was born June 11, 1954, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Ella “Elaine” Pickrell Epperson.

He attended River Hills School and had been a Cub Scout.

Max is survived by his mother, Elaine Epperson of Waterloo; one brother, Henry (Maureen) Epperson of Evansdale; and by two nieces, Ella (Brian) Newman and Myria Epperson both of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his father.
