Ula Irene Simons, 97, died peacefully in her sleep, Monday, December 31, 2018. She resided at Riverview Manor in Ozark, Missouri.

Ula will be lovingly remembered by her son Phil and wife Lynda; daughter Charlotte; son Mark and wife Janice Raylene; daughter-in-law Jan; grandchildren Gena (Ron), Laura (Nathan), Brenda, Andrew (Shanna), Carolyn (Dan), Christy (Jason), Nathan (Brittany), Russell, Erica (Josh) and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, James Roger Seymour Simons 1997; sons, Garrett 2003 and Daniel 2001; son-in-law John Gutknecht 2017; and by one great-granddaughter.

Ula, daughter of William and Mabel Foster, was born in Waterloo, Iowa, January 28, 1921. She attended Open Bible College in Des Moines, Iowa where she met and married her husband in 1942. She faithfully assisted her husband as he pastored churches in several locations before settling in Waterloo, Iowa. In 1984, upon retirement, they moved to Huntsville, Arkansas. In 2015 she moved to Springfield, Missouri to be near her son and daughter-in-law.
