William E. "Bill" Chandler

July 16, 1942 - December 24, 2018

William Chandler, 76, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Monday, December 24, 2018, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.

He was born July 16, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Henry and Beatrice (Star) Chandler.

Bill graduated from Cedar Falls High School and the University of Northern Iowa. Bill was proud to have served in the National Guard. Before his retirement he worked for John Deere as a inspector in component works.

He is survived by one son, Jason (Carrie) Chandler, of Waterloo; one daughter, Michelle (Le) Burkle, of Urbandale, Iowa; two grandchildren, Ben and Tessa Burkle, of Urbandale, Iowa; one brother, Douglas (Teresa) Chandler, of Auburn, California; three sisters, Katheryn Hatch, of Auburn, California, Mary Bruhn, of Newton, Iowa, and Barbara Boudewyns, of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Teri,

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral, with visitation one hour before service time. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVEST Post 49.
