Mervin W. Meyerhoff

Mervin Meyerhoff, 83, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at home.

He was born in Readlyn, Iowa, December 29, 1935, the son of William and Leona (Orth) Meyerhoff. Mervin graduated from Readlyn High School in 1953.

He worked at Allen Memorial Hospital in the laundry Department. He was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Mervin is survived by a brother, Donald (Marilyn) Meyerhoff of Mesa, Az; a sister, Elaine Finger of Iowa City; nephews: Leslie (Teresa) Finger, Greg (Kristi) Finger all of Iowa City, and Javon (Rene) Meyerhoff of Excelsior, MN, Brian (Laura) Meyerhoff of Camas, WA; also, five great-nephews and great-nieces; and special friend Roger Schuler.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Gwendlyn Meyerhoff; and by a brother-in-law, Alton Finger.

Mervin was an avid Iowa Hawkeye's football and basketball fan.
