Vivian Louise Page was born June 27, 1921, in Iowa Falls, daughter of John and Ada (Shane) Smith. She was raised in Iowa Falls and graduated with the Class of 1939. Following graduation, Vivian attended Olivet University in Kankakee, Illinois.

After Ralph’s death in 2003, Vivian returned to Waterloo to be closer to family. She enjoyed going to the North Star community Services Newell Post, participating in the garden club and capturing special family moments in pictures. Having no children of her own, Vivian was a wonderful and loving aunt to her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and would keep in touch with them all through the years by writing postcards and letters.

Vivian passed away at the age of 97 years on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 siblings: Maynard “Jim” Smith, Ruby “Rube” Hamm, Frances “Bud” Smith, Lawrence “Babe” Smith and June Marie Smith who died in infancy. Vivian is survived by her brother, Eugene “Pete” Smith of Waterloo and her many beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
