Theodore R. Larrew, age 82, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Covenant Medical Center, in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born March 9, 1936 in Boone, Iowa, the son of Theodore Roosevelt and Bessie Mae (Pritchard) Larrew. Theodore was a graduate of Waterloo East High School. He was united in marriage with Marlys Ann Burrill on April 19, 1955 in Waterloo. She preceded him in death in 1999.

Theodore served in the United States Air Forces for over 20 years, retiring from active duty in April 1975. He then worked for 18 years for Simplex Time Recording Co. He was a longtime member of Evansdale AMVETS Post #31. Theodore was very social and loved lengthy conversations with friends and family in person or on the telephone. He was fond of sharing good jokes with others.

Survivors include three sons: Timothy (Cheri) Larrew and David (Brekka) Larrew, all of Texas and Michael (Pamela) Larrew of Washburn; a daughter, Lynne Larrew of Evansdale; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Mallas of Boone, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, his longtime companion, Frances Robinson and a granddaughter, Kirsten Larrew.
