Dunkerton, Iowa – Gary Bernard Floss, 77 years old, of Dunkerton, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at his home.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, Iowa, with burial at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup. Military Rites will be conducted at the grave. Memorials will be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Gary Floss was born July 25, 1941, the son of Ben Floss and Georgia B. (Nelson) Floss. He was united in marriage to Dixie Jo (Adams) Odens, July 14, 2001, at the couples home near Dunkerton, Iowa. Gary served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He later became a owner/operator truck driver, operating Floss Trucking Inc. He was a member of the Fairbank American Legion.

Gary is survived by his wife, Dixie of Dunkerton; one son, Joseph “J.J.” (Nicole) Floss of Cedar Falls, IA; two daughters, Brandy (Chris) Hennessy of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kim Floss of Cedar Falls, IA; one grandson; two stepsons, William (Gail) Widmann of Centennial, CO, Mark (Amanda) Widmann of Cedar Falls, IA; three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA is in charge of arrangements.
