WATERLOO, IOWA -- Georgia J. Wilkie, 85, of Waterloo, died Friday, July 15, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, in Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born June 11, 1920, in Traer, Iowa, daughter of Floyd and Faye LaDow Smith. She married Harold Wilkie on Nov. 11, 1950, in Rochester, Minn. He died June 6, 1970.

She graduated from Traer High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Western Union for 30 years.

Survived by: a son, Robert "Bob" (Darlene) of Evansdale; a daughter, Barbara (Dan) Cates of Marshall, Ark.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Bonnie Warren of Dunkerton and Beverly (Herbert) Heth of Washburn.

Preceded in death by a sister, Melba Kascelansky.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at the Katharine Graham Pahl Chapel in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call for an hour before services Monday at the chapel. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice or the American Cancer Society
