Anecia Mavis Strubel, 91, of La Porte City, formerly of Washburn, died at the La Porte City Specialty Care facility on Sunday, October 21, 2018.
She was born December 13, 1926 in Tripoli, the daughter of Marvin and Helena Kleiss Lamb and graduated from Oran High School.
She married William "Bill" Strubel on December 27, 1947 in Cudahy WI; he died July 12, 1991.
Mrs. Strubel was a homemaker and secretary for her husband's business, Bill's Building & Siding. She had been a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (John) Mills, Waterloo; son, Mike (Kathy) Strubel, La Porte City; daughter, Barb Kayser, Waterloo; 12 grandchildren and 25 great‑grandchildren.
Mrs. Strubel is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Shellie Dolan; two sisters, Patricia Albrecht and Betty Woods; two brothers, Roland Lamb and Clifford Kleiss; and a special friend, Joe Zeien.
