Margaret Marie Scribner, 84, of Stout, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at her home in Stout.

Margaret was born March 16, 1933, to Richie and Katherine (Gaffney) Thomas in Waterloo, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert C. Scribner. He passed away in 1985.

Margaretís focus throughout her life was the well being of her family. She enjoyed spending time and taking care of her entire family. In her free time she enjoyed putting together puzzles, painting and working on adult coloring books.

Margaret is survived by two sons; Rick (Angela) Scribner of Clarksville and Tim Dyer of Stout, two daughters; Deborah Dyer of Stout and Catherine (Randy) Martin of Dinsdale, Iowa, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and two brothers; Dearl Thomas of Waterloo and Donald Thomas of Oahu, Hawaii. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, four brothers; Robert, Herbert, Wilbur and Patrick, and one great grandson, Nickolas Scribner.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Jack Ritsema officiating with burial to follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2017, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock and an hour before the funeral service at the cemetery chapel on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. On-line condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
