Dorothy W. Carr, 80, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, August 16 at Manor Care Health Services.

She was born May 27, 1938 in Waterloo, the daughter of Mert and Mable Gruver Card. She married Kenneth Smith, Sr. and after his death she married John Carr March 13, 1981. He died December 17, 1995. Dorothy was a homemaker.

She is survived by 12 grandchildren, Tara, Jeff, Tiffany, Jeremy, Joe, Brandy and Randy Smith, Neil Tickner, Aaron Foster, Stacey Little, Diane Loftus and Chastity; a brother, Donald Card of Evansdale; a sister, Marlene (Daryl) Reints of Parikersburg and a niece, DeAnn Huffman of Waverly.

Preceded in death by her four sons, Kenny Smith, Jr., Dean Smith, Donald Smith and Steve Smith.

Immediate burial took place Friday, August 17 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service West Ridgeway was in charge of arrangements.
