Biography--

Naomi Morris, 84, of Gladbrook, Iowa, formerly of Hudson, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook.

She was born May 8, 1934, in Sewal, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph E. and Iva Reed Couchman.

Naomi married Darwin E. Morris on June 15, 1952, in Chariton, Iowa, shortly after graduating from Sewal High School. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1997.

Naomi worked for JC Penney in the late 1960's. She worked as an Insurance Records Clerk for several medical offices. Her most recent position was with NE Iowa Family Practice Center before retiring in 2013.

She was a devout wife, mother, and Christian who lived her life through Christ. She also was a faithful member of United Methodist Church of Hudson, the Gideon Auxiliary, Hudson Red Hats, and Short Term Volunteers in Mission (STVIM.) When her children were grown she did a lot of mission work, crocheted and quilted.

Survived by her daughter, Mavis (Terry) Floss of Evansdale; three sons, Nolan (Brett) Morris of Cedar Falls, Kurt (Katherine) Morris of Milo, and Scot (George) Morris of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Benjamin Morris of Madison, WI, Kelsey Morris of Iowa City, and Jennifer (Josh) Ratcliff of Ankeny; a honorary grandchild Sarah (Shane) Van Waardhuizen of Pella; and three great-grandchildren, Joel and Corbin Zelle and Jake Ratcliff all of Ankeny.

Preceded by her parents; husband; three brothers, Raymond, Irvin, and Claris Couchman; and an infant sister.
