Biography--

Timothy Paul Cutsforth, 55, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, of end‑stage renal disease.

Tim was born January 19, 1963 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Virgil P. and Norma J. Ferrie Cutsforth.

He graduated in 1981 from Waterloo Central High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1982‑1986 stationed on the Iowa-class battleship, USS New Jersey (BB-62), receiving an honorable discharge. Tim received his CNA certification from Hawkeye Community College and then worked at Country View Care Center and Covenant Medical Center, retiring in 2011.

Tim married Vicki J. George on August 12, 1989, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and previously attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was a member of the VFW and had been a coach for the Iowa Special Olympics. He liked playing video games and thought Sam’s Club hot dogs were the best.

He is survived by his wife Vicki, a son, Nicholas P., and a daughter, Annamarie M. Cutsforth, all of Waterloo; two brothers: Tom and John (Tanya), both of Waterloo; and four sisters: Paula (Dennis) Hamand, Waterloo, Pam (Gary) Iverson, Denver, IA, Kathy (Jeff) Spence, Elk Run Heights, IA and Jennifer (Sean) Picken, Waterloo. Other survivors include his four brothers‑in‑law: Stephan (Cheryl) George, Phoenix, AZ, Mike (Michele) George, Davenport, IA, Pat (Karen) George, Lakeville, MN, and Mark (Karen) George, Visalia, CA; a sister-in-law, Jeannie George, Urbandale, IA; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a wide circle of friends who loved him.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Leon and Marie George; and two brothers‑in‑law: Mark Hippe and Lee George.

Services:
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM, Monday, July 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 627 West 4th Street, Waterloo.

Cemetery:
Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery, Waterloo, with military honors
