Marcene D. Smith -- Rochester

A private family memorial service was held for Marcene D. Smith, 51, of 2312 Valleyhigh Drive N.W., who died Friday, July 17, 1998, at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Born Jan. 24, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she grew up in Iowa. In 1990 she moved to Rochester from Ottumwa, Iowa. She was employed in retail in Rochester. She was married and later divorced.

Survivors include a daughter, Cameo Bogatin of Chandler, Ariz.; a granddaughter; her mother, Erdine Cogswell of Waterloo, Iowa; and a brother, Kent Smith of Huntington Beach, Calif. Her father preceded her in death.

Macken Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to the Poverello fund at Saint Marys Hospital.
