Charles N. "Chuck" Kuepker

July 5, 1937 - June 16, 2018

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Charles “Chuck” Kuepker, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Unity Point-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born July 5, 1937 in Sumner, Iowa, son of Norman and Norma (Volker) Kuepker. He married Elizabeth “Betty” Secor on August 3, 1963 in Cedar Falls.

He graduated from Sumner High School in the class of 1955 and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a machinist with John Deere and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

Survived by his wife, Betty of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Laurie (Mark Sweet) Kuepker of Lake Elmo, MN; a son, Lonny Kuepker of Lenexa, KS; five grandchildren: Angela (BJ) LaVelle, Anthony Sweet, Lauren (Ryan) Sweet, Connor Sweet, Alec Sweet; one great grandchild, Avianna LaVelle; and a sister, Doris (Paul) Niewoehner of Raleigh, NC.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and David Kuepker; and a sister-in-law, Juanita Kuepker.

Services: 10am Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Visitation from 4-7pm at Richardson Funeral Service and also for one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Chuck was married 55 wonderful years to Betty. They enjoyed biking, golfing, bowling and walking together. He loved spending time with his children, son-in-law and grandchildren.

He held Our Redeemer Lutheran Church close to his heart, proudly served in the Navy and donated 17 gallons of blood.
