Obituary for Norman A. Luttinen

December 30, 1942 - June 1, 2018

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Norman A. “Norm” Luttinen, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at Sartori Memorial Hospital - ER.

He was born December 30, 1942, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Alvar and Lauretta (Lutz) Luttinen. He married Marilyn Fick June 18, 1966, at Zion Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

Norm graduated from Merrilville, Indiana High School in 1961 and from Wartburg College in Waverly in 1967. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a golf pro at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club; served as Head Pro at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls, and later worked as a golf pro at Fox Ridge in Dike and Waverly Golf Course. He was a member of both the Iowa PGA and the PGA of America.
Survived by: his wife of Cedar Falls; daughter, Lara (Josh) Jepsen of Bettendorf; son, Lonnie of Aurora, IL; three granddaughters, Jae and Joanah Jepsen and Jada Henry; brother, Gail (Kay) Luttinen of Littleton, CO; and sister-in-law, Carla Luttinen of Oakland Park, IL.

Preceded by: parents and brother, Charles Luttinen.

Services 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church-Larsen Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time in the Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church.
