Virginia Yeager

February 22, 1935 - May 29, 2018

Virginia Mae (McCoy) Yeager was born on February 22, 1935 in Butler County to Harold and Bernice (Roberts) McCoy. She attended school in Plainfield. She worked as a nurse up until 1966 at St. Francis Hospital.

Virginia married Dean Yeager in 1955 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple welcomed two children into their lives and Virginia was a proud and loving mother. Virginia enjoyed going out to eat, sewing, and playing cards. She also loved shopping, flowers, and visiting with her friends and family.

Virginia Mae Yeager died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Pinnacle Specialty Care at the age of 83.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; and one grandson: Brock Yeager.

Virginia is survived by her son, Roger (Lisa) Yeager of Waterloo; her daughter, Marilyn (Robert Wayne) Kressin of Woden; one brother, Daryl McCoy of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Brady and Olivia Yeager; and six great-grandchildren: Lilli, Elijah, Liberti, Lanni, Kobi, and Kylynn.

Memorials may be directed to the family. A private family burial will occur at a later date.
