Biography

Kuzie N. Fox, 85, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Kuzie was born on August 6, 1932 in McAdams, MS; the daughter of Leon and Lizzie (George) Mosley.

She was a graduate of Ramer County School System in Ramer, Al.

She married Clinton Jones and moved to Waterloo, Iowa, in 1949. They were later divorced. She married Marvin Fox Sr. in Preston, MN. They were later divorced.

Kuzie was Senior Companion at Parkview Nursing Home for 17 years. She also worked for the Waterloo Community Schools at Longfellow Elementary School. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and served on the Missionary Board.

Kuzie is survived by her twelve children: Patricia (Lee Dennis) Reed of Waterloo, Deborah (Duane) Carter of Lithonia, GA, Rollie Jones, of Waterloo, Kim Jones, of Ft. Collins, CO., Ricardo (Lisa) Jones, Loveland, CO., Tanja McCellan, of Chandler, AZ., Ulanda (Keith) Faison, of E. Orange, NJ., and Marvin Fox Jr, Dwight (Sherry) Fox, and Chyone Fox, all of Waterloo, Gigi Fox of North Liberty, and Tracey (Randolph) Mealy, of Baton Rouge, LA.; one goddaughter, Rhonda (Leon) Mosley, of Waterloo; one sister, Mabel Jenkins of Muskgeon Heights, MI.; one brother, Virgil Eugene Mosley, Denver, CO., 31 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for nieces, Mary Dell Theroith and Eula Reed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers: Johnny, Garfield, LaMar, Curtis, George, James and Leon Mosley Jr.; three sisters: Carisee Mosley, Flora Lee Reed, and Lillie B. Williams; a son-in-law Earnest McCellan.

Kuzie loved her church and cherished her family. She leaves to treasure her memories to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She loved to read, plant flowers and garden. She will be remembered and dearly missed by her family, friends and community.
