Obituary for Josephine Phyllis Ledtje

June 1, 1928 - May 29, 2018

Josephine Phyllis Ledtje, 89, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 29, at home.

She was born June 1, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Louis and Josephine Sunseri Arena . She married Warren Ledtje Sr. and they later divorced.

Josephine was employed as a nurse’s aide at several medical facilities in the area.

Survivors include: four sons, Anthony (Connie) of Muscatine, Joseph (Patti Lee) of Cedar Falls, Warren Jr. (Vicki Clabby) and Karl both of Waterloo; six grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her daughter, Esther Turner; three brothers, Louis Arena and Phillip Arena, Sam Arena; two sisters, Mary Ann Norman and Phyllis Arena.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
