Logan R. “Ralph” Carlson (1942-2018)

CEDAR FALLS – Logan R. “Ralph” Carlson, 76, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Waverly, Iowa, son of Ralph and Bettie Montgomery Carlson. He married Lorraine Sue Hileman on April 16, 1971 in Freeport, IL. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2010.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1960 and was employed with Viking Pump from 1961 until his retirement in 2007.

Survived by: two daughters, Stephanie (Jason) Manternach of Robbinsdale, MN, and Robyn (John) Tegtmeier of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and two sisters, Carol Carlson and Elene Sester.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Logan enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and going to auctions. He enjoyed riding his bike around George Wyth Park. He loved music and history-especially Civil War and World War II history.
