Obituary for Beverly June Smith

Beverly J. Smith 93, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday May 23, at Ravenwood Specialty Care. She was born March 11, 1925, in Rolfe, Iowa the daughter of Forest and Etta Julius Grant. She married Glyde “Spec” Smith May 6, 1950 in Cedar Falls. He died April 4, 2004.

Beverly was employed as a receptionist with Allen Hospital for many years. She was most recently employed by Roth Jewelers. She retired in 2012. She was a member of the Elks Club, Covenant Auxiliary and was a very active member in First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by: a son, Forry (Cheryl) Smith of Alamo, Calif.; three daughters, Pam Terrell of Waterloo, Michelle (Steve) Hanson of Charles City, and Sandy (George) Ritland of Ankeny; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and her husband.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 30, at 1st Presbyterian Church. Visitation will occur from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church.
