Biography--

Jaykwon Floyd Perez Sallis, 9, of Waterloo, died at home, Sunday, April 22, 2018. He was born April 21, 2009 in Waterloo, son of Ashley Smith and Troy Sallis, Jr.

He attended school at Lincoln Elementary and was in the third grade.

Jaykwon loved basketball, bikes, video games, dancing, motorcycles, skateboards, Jordans, all basketball teams, and knew all the players. He also loved reading and writing. Jaykwon had the gift of sharing.

He is survived by: his father, Troy (Marley Reeves) Sallis, Jr. of Waterloo; two brothers, Omarion Sallis and Javon Reeves both of Waterloo; three sisters, Aubrianna Smith of Waterloo, Keyniah Rossow of Mason City, and Mariah Sallis of Waterloo; paternal grandmother Shelia (Wendell Mallett) Hutchins Wilder of Cedar Falls; paternal grandfathers, Robert Smart and Troy Sallis, Sr., of Waterloo; maternal grandparents, Steve and Sheila Craft of Waterloo; great-grandmother Doris Craft of Waterloo; eight uncles, Antonio (Megan) Hutchins, Sr., Daniel Hutchins, Sr., Patrick Scullark, Jon (Amanda) Smith, Chris Rosol, Adam (Ashley) Craft, Detrone Redd, and Alex Craft; two aunts; Shivette Redd and Lucretia Redd of Waterloo; great grandparents, Mae Beaman, Doris Craft, and Charles Brown; and many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Serenity Sallis.
