Cleo Langbehn

Cleo Kathryn Schneider Langbehn, 96, of Dysart, died on April 21, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She was born on July 4, 1921, in Dysart, the daughter of Olin and Christina Smith.

Cleo married Francis Schneider in 1947 in Waterloo. Francis died in 1971.

Cleo married Harold Langbehn in 1973. She worked in Waterloo at Sears Cashier Cage for fifteen years and at Dysart State Bank for twenty-five years. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lois Schoville and Lola Jensen; a step son, Todd Langbehn; and a daughter in law, Donna Brandt Schneider.

Cleo is survived by her husband; two sons, James (Sandy) Schneider of Waterloo and John (Roxanne) Schneider of Dysart; two daughters, Joan (Dr. Rick) Palmer of La Porte City and Janis (Rich) Wauters of Dysart; a step son, Mark (Kathy) Langbehn of Omaha; seventeen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

There will be a Rosary Service at 3:45 PM prior to the visitation at the funeral home. The burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Dysart. Please direct memorials to the family.
