Burial precedes services in Orange Township Cemetery, Waterloo

Biography--

Gregory S. Nelson, 68 of Cedar Falls, Iowa, formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, and East Palo Alto, CAalifornia, died at Pinnacle Specialty Care Friday, April 6, 2018.

He was born April 16, 1949 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Myron E. and Margaret "Peg" Leeper Nelson.

He graduated in 1967 from Waterloo West High and then the University of Iowa with a Bachelor degree in Chemistry. Mr. Nelson was a chemist at Romic Environmental Technologies. He was a founding member of Black Hawk County Gem & Mineral Society. He attended South Waterloo Church of the Brethren.

Mr. Nelson is survived by his sister: Jana Nelson, Cedar Falls, IA; nephew: Mike Nelson, Ankeny, IA; and two great nieces, He is preceded by his parents.
