Biography--

Susan “Sue” Dianne Hintz 68, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at UnityPoint Health ‑ Allen Hospital, in Waterloo.

She was born September 9, 1949, in Waterloo, the daughter of Benjamin and Arlene (Jacklin) Tharp and graduated from East High School in 1967.

Sue married Tim Hintz on August 10, 1968 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale. She did clerical work at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale.

She had been a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale. She loved to bake, talk to her family and friends, shopping and attend family gatherings. Sue took care of others and never missed anyone's birthday, she always sent cards. She wanted her family close to her.

Sue is survived by her husband: Tim Hintz, Waterloo, a daughter: Kim (Wes) Sommer, Waterloo, two brothers: Dr. Michael (Pat) Tharp, West Liberty, Randy (Marlys) Tharp, Evansdale, two sisters: Cathy (Bill) Olson, Dysart, Judy (Lynn) Powell, Dysart, and several nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents.
