Rodger (Bud) Buss was born August 22, 1922 in Waverly, Iowa, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Lottman) Buss. He married Evelyn “Jean” Holler on August 22, 1953.

Bud worked for Buhr Chevrolet, then Titus Manufacturing until Titus moved from Waterloo, then for Waterloo Industries until his retirement. He enjoyed motorcycles when he was younger and he and Jean travelled as far away as Colorado on their bike. Bud enjoyed fishing and camping and woodworking having built curio cabinets and grandfather clocks. As he grew older, Bud loved to dance at the Senior Centers in Independence and Cedar Falls with all of his friends.

Bud passed away at the age of 95 years on April 1, 2018, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; an infant son; and a grandson.

Bud is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Evelyn; a son, Dale (Connie) Buss of Waterloo; a daughter, Vicky of Waterloo; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be directed to his family.
