CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Willard D. Lee, 91, of Cedar Falls died Friday, March 30, 2018 at his home.

He was born July 29, 1926 in Waverly Junction, Iowa, son of Ned and Helen (McGilligan) Lee. He married Gertrude Gibson on July 10, 1946 in Butler County, Iowa. She preceded him in death on November 6, 1994.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a machinist with John Deere, retiring in 1987.

Survived by: four sons, Robert (Debora) of Cedar Falls, Charles (Patricia) of Boone, Gary (Patti) of Janesville, and Randy (Sandy) of Stout; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Preceded in death by: four brothers, Robert, James, Donald and Richard Lee; a sister, Betty Sands; and a great-great granddaughter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at First United Methodist Church with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Military Honors conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Detail. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 at Richardson Funeral Service and also for one hour prior to the service at the church.
