Nettie "Vi" Viola Weber

August 18, 1923 ~ March 30, 2018 (age 94)

Visitation for Nettie “Vi” Weber will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday April 5, 2018 at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco with a Scripture service being held at 7 P.M. Committal service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday April 6, 2018 at the cemetery in Gilbertville, Iowa.

“Vi” Weber, age 94, of Cresco, Iowa, died Friday March 30, 2018 at Accura Health Care of Cresco.

She was born August 18, 1923 in Waterloo, Iowa, the only child born to Leonard and Nettie M. (Frye) Perry. She attended schools in Waterloo graduating in 1941. Vi was united in marriage to Alvin Weber on November 29, 1944 at St John’s Catholic Church in Waterloo. Together they farmed in the Jesup, Raymond and Chester, Iowa, areas before moving to Cresco in 1964. Vi worked as a cook at St Joseph’s School in Cresco for many years, she was a member of Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, she enjoyed crocheting, needlework and playing 500.

Vi is survived by four sons: Larry (Deb) Weber of Clear Lake, IA, Jerry Weber and Allan Weber both of Cresco, IA, and Randy (Barb) Weber of LeRoy, MN; by a daughter-in-law, Shirley Weber of Cresco, IA; by four grandchildren: Jeremy (Teresa) Weber, Jessie (Jeremy) Lienhard, Melanie (Andy) Richert and Amanda (Nick) _______. Vi is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alvin in 2006.
