Obituary for Gloria J. Boggie

Cedar Falls- Gloria J. Boggie 77, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, March 24, at the Western Home Communities - Martin Center.

She was born February 26, 1941, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob “Jake” Elsie Trnka Kloberdanz. She married Kenneth Stirm, Jr. November 30, 1963, in Waterloo. They later divorced. She married John Boggie August 6, 1983 in Waterloo.

Gloria graduated from Columbus High School in 1960. She was employed with Warren Transport in data entry for 20 years. She retired in 2001.

Survived by: her husband, John Boggie of Waterloo; A son, Kenneth (Tricia) Stirm III of Coralville; a daughter Karla (Kevin) Klein of Dubuque; a brother, James (Mary) Kloberdanz of Waterloo; three sisters, Judith (Loren) Fitzpatrick of Cedar Falls, Joyce (Walter) Lattimer of Cedar Falls, and Mary Lou (Keith) Christiansen of Walnut, Iowa; one grandson, Nicholas Klein; and three granddaughters, Hailey Stirm, Samantha Klein and Kayla Klein.

Preceded in death by: her parents.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at St. Edward Catholic Church with a burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 4:00 p.m. rosary and a 6:30 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
