Obituary for Artie M. Colvin

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Artie M. Colvin, 90, of Cedar Falls died Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer, Iowa.

She was born December 23, 1927, in Black Hawk County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry “Hank” and Anna (Minikus) Morris. She married Warren L. Colvin on August 17, 1946 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1994.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and was a homemaker throughout her adult life. She was a member of First Christian Church in Cedar Falls.

She is survived by two sons, Warren (Bev) Colvin Jr. of Dysart and Dan (Sue) Colvin of Surprise, AZ; a daughter, Sandy (Dennis) Siems of Chetek, WI; twelve grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Jean) Morris of Bristow.

Preceded in death by a sister, Alice Reints; a grandson, Joshua Colvin; and a great-grandson, Warren Van Wie.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Garden of Memories in Waterloo. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls.
