James H. Tatum, 81, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on February 28, 2018, at his home.
He was born on December 5, 1936, in Fisher, Arkansas, the son of John and Bernice Knight Tatum.
James married Betty Lou Sanders in January of 1959 in Fisher, Arkansas; she preceded him in death on December 9, 2017.
He had worked as a foreman for Marquet Concrete and Block for 25 years; he then worked as a truck driver for Aramark.
James was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God in Waterloo.
He is survived by two sons, Chris (Bonnie) Tatum of Waterloo and Steven (Krysten) Tatum of Ashland, NE; five grandchildren: James Tatum, Michael Tatum, Josh Tatum, Matt Tatum, and Franklin Tatum; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Pat) Tatum of Waterloo; and two sisters, Bobbie (Bill) Lawrence of Waterloo and Janie Neirstheimer of Arkansas.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
