Obituary for Tony Emil Borwig

Tony Emil Borwig, 96, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 21 at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital, in Waterloo.

He was born July 31, 1921 in Waterloo son of Albert and Emma Myer Borwig. He married Norma M. Bartlett on August 31, 1946 in Waterloo. She died January 2, 2015.

Tony was self-employed, doing caulking work in new construction commercial buildings.

Survivors include: two sons, Tony Borwig of Knoxville, Iowa and Gary (Marcia) Borwig of Dike, Iowa; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his wife; a brother, George Borwig; two sisters, Emily Perry and Dorothy Clemons; and a daughter-in-law, Gayle Borwig.

Private family services will be Saturday, February 24 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
