Robert "Bob" Charles Jackson

May 18, 1930 - January 30, 2018

Robert Charles “Bob” Jackson, 87, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo and Independence, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 30 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

He was born May 18, 1930 in Spring Valley, Minnesota, the son of Van and Marvel Flatz Jackson. He married Vonnie Kingsly on February 20, 1954, in Waterloo. She died July 25, 1992. He then married Norma Wigant on September 30, 2000 in Independence. She died June 30, 2014.

Bob was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was employed with Rath Packing Company for 35 years, until the company’s closing. He then went into business with his brother at Ryan Exterminating.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff and Jason, both of Waterloo; three grandchildren: Jheanett Bower of Waterloo, Stephanie (Riaz) Muhammad and Miranda Jackson of Waterloo; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis (Wilma) of Tuscon, Arizona; and a sister, Diane (Ralph) Roberts of Omaha, Nebraska.

Preceded in death by a sister, Betty Stanford and a brother, Argall Jackson.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with inurnment in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. Public visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and for one hour before services at the church on Monday.
