Biography--

Maurice Chris Cook, 83, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Pinnacle Specialty Care on Thursday, November 23, 2017.
 
He was born January 24, 1934, in Olney Township, Minnesota, the son of Mathias and Apollonia Roeder Cook and attended schools in Adrian, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955‑1957
 
Maurice married Dena Dellinger on April 1, 1961. He married Marian (Gehring) Baker on April 14, 1989 in Waterloo.
 
He was an Inspector at John Deere Tractor Works and retired after 30 years in March 1989. Maurice belonged to different computer clubs, a polka club, and a hiking club in Arizona. He enjoyed photography, computers, traveling, hitting garage sales and auctions and dancing with Marian. They owned a home in Arizona for 24 years.
 
Maurice is survived by his wife, Marian; two daughters, Marcia (Bruce) Harris of Quasqueton, IA and Pamela (Darin) Dierks of La Porte City, IA; five stepchildren: Linda Lambert of Waterloo, Don (DeeDee) Williams of Branson, MO,  Chuck (Debbie) Williams of Eden Prairie, MN, Brian Williams of Tripoli, IA, and Tony (Pam) Williams of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Lowell) Reese of Northwood, IA and JoAnn (Chuck) Peters of Nicollet, MN; and two brothers, Joseph Cook of Chicago, IL and Richard (Jodi) Kramer of Sandpoint, ID.
 
He is preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Thomas and a niece, Nancy Thomas.
