Biography--
Jeffrey C. Clark, age 61, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 28, 1956 in the US Army Base Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany, the son of Charles and Bernice (Brush) Clark. He graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1974 and earned a Bachelor of Technology degree at the University of Northern Iowa in 1982. Jeffrey was united in marriage with Jane Ann Mitchell on July 3, 1983 at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Washburn.
Jeffrey worked for Computer Automation & Amdahl in Richardson, Texas from 1982-1987; Frigidaire in Webster City from 1988-1995; Prudential in Waterloo from 1995-1998; and opened his own insurance office with Allstate Insurance on Kimball Ave. in Waterloo from 1998, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the National Rifle Association and the Falling Rock Walleye Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jane of Waterloo; a daughter, Melissa (Joseph II) Herrera of Midland, TX.; 2 grandsons, Joseph Charles “J.C.” Herrera III and Garrett Mitchell Herrera; his mother, Bernice Heyer of Wylie, TX; 3 sisters, April (John) Straube of Wylie, TX, Stephanie (Dennis) McDonald of Atlanta, GA and Charmaine Springett of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law, John (Carolyn) Mitchell of Freeport, Illinois; a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Stephen Clark, his stepfather, James Heyer and his father and mother-in-law, James and Lila Mitchell.
