Charles "Chuck" Koch

January 16, 1938 - October 27, 2017

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Charles “Chuck” Koch, 79, of Cedar Falls died Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born January 16, 1938, in Denison, Iowa, son of Edward “Ted” and Doris (Danielson) Koch. He married Claudia Boesen on June 11, 1960 in Waterloo.

He earned his BA degree from Iowa State Teachers College in 1960 and his MA from the University of Northern Iowa in 1967. He taught Drama, Theatre, and English at Cedar Falls High School for 38 years, retiring in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Christyn (John) Mattson of Trinity, FL; two sons, Chip (Catherine) Koch of San Clemente, CA, and Kevin (Kara) Koch of Wellington, FL; eight grandchildren: Carter Koch, Joshua (Ashley), Anthony, David, and Samantha (Connor) Brennan, Sophia, TJ, and Nicole Koch; and a great-grandson, James Mattson.

He was preceded in death by by his parents and a grandson, Samuel Mattson.

Memorial Services: Thursday, Nov. 2nd, at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.

Visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.
