LeAnn Sue Watts was born September 20, 1964 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Gary and Carol (Wiebbecke) Pearson. She was raised and attended schools in Clutier, graduating from North Tama High School with the Class of 1983.

LeAnn met Dean Allen Watts her sophomore year of high school on a double-date and they courted on and off for the next five years, marrying on May 30, 1987. She attended the University of Iowa graduating in August of 1987 with a B.A. in Finance. LeAnn and Dean began their married life in Iowa City, then moved to Cedar Rapids where she worked for the First Star/U.S. Bank.

In 1995, they moved to Hudson where she worked for U.S. Bank until 2003 when her health no longer allowed. LeAnn LOVED country music and attended over 400 concerts with Dean over the course of their marriage. She also enjoyed cats and loved “dressing up pretty” with jewelry and Coach purses. She had a few television shows that she faithfully followed: Days of Our Lives, Nashville, and Iowa Hawkeye sporting events. Most of all, LeAnn loved her family.

LeAnn passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo surrounded by her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

LeAnn is survived by her father, Gary Pearson of Clutier; her husband of 30 years, Dean; her sons, Jeric (Bridget) Watts of Waterloo and Austin Watts of Cedar Falls; her daughter Kayla (Sara Shrout) Watts of Waterloo; her brothers: Calvin Pearson of Clutier, Troy Pearson of Tama, and Blake Pearson of Clutier; and one grandson, Gabriel Watts.

LeAnn will be greatly missed!

Memorials may be directed to the family.
