David Ackerson, one of the oldest residents of this vicinity died Friday morning at the advanced age of 84 years and was buried Sunday at 2:00 P.M. in the Oak Hill cemetery at New Hartford, Iowa.

Mr. Ackerson came to New Hartford in an early day and by thrift and good management, became one of Butler county's best farmers.

His wife at an advanced age survives him; also a large family of children all grown to manhood and womanhood.
