Biography--

John Wesley “Son” Sailor, 54, of Bloomington, Minnesota, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital, of natural causes.

He was born February 14, 1963 in Waterloo Iowa the son of John Wesley Anderson and Sallie Mae Sailor. John was raised by his grandparents Viola and Joseph Sailor. He was a graduate of Central High School. He worked as a Carpenter and in Maintenance for a Nursing Facility in Minnesota.

Survived by: his grandparents who raised him as their own, Joseph and Viola Sailor of Waterloo; two sons, John Wesley Sailor, Jr. of Waterloo, Adam Michael Sailor of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Lorrice (Treymone) Thomas of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Jazmine K. Sailor, John Wesley Sailor III, Imara Miller, Sidney Sailor, Kaysen Sailor, Isaiah Thomas and Elijah Thomas; four brothers, Peter Anderson of Waterloo, Charles “Flip” Anderson of Waterloo, Joseph Sailor, Jr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jim (Rhonda) Sailor of Waterloo, eleven sisters, Tessie (Johnny) Hoskins of Waterloo, Linda (Sam) Thomas of Waterloo, Carmen (Rev. Keever) Murphy of Waterloo, Tamara “Penny” (Rev. Sam) Mingo of Orlando, Florida, Sheana “Shanie” (David) Sailor Hodges of Houston, TX, Frieda Sailor Monroe of Quincy, Florida, Gracelynn Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Leslie Anderson of Waterloo, Jonya Nassif of Cedar Rapids, Mone’y (Tellis) Scott of Tampa, Florida and Andrea (Terrance) Anderson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his biological parents, John Wesley Anderson and Sallie Mae Sailor; one brother, Lennon “Snooky” Sailor and siblings Hope and Larry.
