Obituary for Elaine "Kay" Love

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Elaine "Kay" Love, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, of pancreatic cancer.

She was born July 21, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Kermit and Lanor McKernan. She married Barry F. Love on December 4, 1959 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School and earned her nursing degree in Rochester. She was a Registered Nurse at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo and then at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, retiring in 1987.

Survived by her husband, Barry of Cedar Falls; and a son, Barry Jr. of Hawaii and Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, at First Presbyterian Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and also for one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
