Obituary for Alice Kintzle

Alice Kintzle, 71, of Waterloo, died Saturday August 12 at her home.

She was born August 17, 1945 in New Hampton, daughter of Lawrence and Marie Papenheim Elenz. She married William Kintzle on March 29, 1975 in Manchester. They later divorced. Alice worked for Waterloo Industries until the closing of the company.

Survivors include: two sons, Kent (Janet) Elenz of Clarksville, Tenn., and Kevin (Michelle) Elenz of Edgewood, N. M.; 3 grandchildren, Jessie (Matthew) Rogers, Nikki Elenz (Troy Fuller), and Trent Elenz; two great-grandchildren, Memphis Rogers and Delany Fuller; five sisters: Katie Schmidt of New Hampton, Maggie Faber of Algona, Tillie Havlik of Elma, Rita Cummings of Waterloo and Rose Meirick of Jesup; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Leo, John, Larry and Michael Elenz; and three sisters, Barbara Bormann, Theresa Stremcha, and Mary Ann Webb.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 19, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in New Hampton City Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday where there will be a 4 p.m. Rosary. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to service on Saturday.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the immediate family.
