Biography--

Robert L. Paisley, 74, of Waterloo, died at Covenant Medical Center on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. son of Johnathon and Louis Lang Paisley.

Robert graduated from Sioux City High School in 1960. He took leadership school at Union Hall in Waterloo. Robert served in the United States Navy from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1963. He was married to Ruth A. Hicks on September 17, 1993, they later divorced.

Robert was a fork lift driver at John Deere for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 19 and VFW Honor Guard, volunteered at Cedar Valley Hospice for four years. He enjoyed playing poker, fishing traveling and sight seeing.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Katrina Miller, Cedar Falls, Iowa; a stepson, Matt (Brandi) Mensching, of Jesup, Iowa; a granddaughter, Emily Miller; step‑grandchildren, Cecelia, Edynn and Matias Mensching; a brother, James (Susan) Paisley of Arlington, TX; a sister, Suzanne (Gerald) Greeno of Omaha, NE, numerous nieces and nephews and a special Friend, Doris Long, Waterloo, Iowa.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Alwayne Paisley, two brothers, Tom and Jon Paisley and a special friend, Janette Provin.
