Obituary for Danny Ray Baker

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Danny Ray Baker, 59, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, July 10, 2017.

He was born November 9, 1958, in Cedar Falls, the son of Carold Charles and Margie Ellen (Noe) Baker. He attended Cedar Falls Schools.
He was employed at the Village Inn in Cedar Falls, Oak Street Bank in Chicago as a teller and ATM attendant, and also as a waiter at various Chicago restaurants.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda Oltrogge of Waterloo, IA, and Deborah Wymore of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Kenneth Baker of Waterloo and Larry (Patti) Baker of Altoona, IA; a niece, Dawn (Chris) Shipp of Cedar Falls; and four nephews, Bill Baker of Grundy Center, IA, Cody Kohls of Waterloo, Nolan Baker of Altoona, and Matt Wetzel of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Randy Baker; nephews, Dustin Baker and Jesse Huntley; and by a niece, Jaimie Huntley.

Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment at a later date. Memorials directed to the family.

Danny loved feeding the birds and squirrels, gardening, watching the Decorah Eagle Cam, hunting for treasures at second hand stores and yard sales and his cats, Tweezie, Saki, Rudy and three that preceded him in death: Mittens, Winslow, and Fannie.
