RAYMOND, IOWA -- Nathan Andrew “Nate” Springer, 23, of Waterloo, Iowa, and formerly of Raymond, died Tuesday, November 15, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.
He was born March 12, 1993, in Waterloo, son of Lance and Sonia Braun Springer.
Nate graduated from Don Bosco High School in 2011 and continued his education at Hawkeye Community College. After graduating, he accepted a job with Harrison Truck Centers at their Waterloo location as a parts and sales representative.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Travis (Megan) of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Garrett of Waterloo; a sister, Chantal (Cody) Paine of Waterloo; his fiancee, Olivia Rigdon of Jesup; three nieces, Adalyn, Aniston and Evelyn; maternal grandparents, Blaine and Christine Braun of Elk Run Heights, and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Patricia Springer of Waterloo; and maternal great-grandmother, Leona Braun of Sumner.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in Sancta Maria Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the church in Gilbertville, where there will be a 2 p.m. rosary and a 6 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Monday at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family with arrangements.

The communities of Raymond and Gilbertville lost a caring, genuine, and selfless son who always put others before himself. Nate was a big Hawkeyes, Titans, and Yankees fan. He deeply loved his family, friends, dog, and fiancée and had the biggest heart.
