Graveside Inurnment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the West View Cemetery in La Porte City followed by a Family Directed Celebration of Life Gathering at the Veterans Memorial Hall 302 Cedar St. La Porte City, Iowa 50651.

Biography--

Ashley Lynn Powell, 32, of Fort Madison, Iowa, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, of heart failure.

She was born August 7, 1984, in Fort Madison the daughter of Daniel and Kristine Marie (Kunde) Powell.

She is survived by her father, Dan (Ginny) Powell of Andrew; one sister, Chelsi Hoeppner of Burlington; one step brother, Thomas (Danah) Higgins of Andrew; one nephew, Zakkary Kempker; one niece, Pantera Kempker; one step nephew, Carter Higgins; maternal grandparents, Bob (Theresa) Kunde of Fort Madison and paternal grandfather, David Powell of La Porte City.

She was preceded in death by her mother and paternal grandmother, Sharon Powell.
