Janet L. Faris Heggebo (1967-2017)

WATERLOO, IOWA – Janet L. Faris Heggebo, 49, of Waterloo died Saturday, April 23, 2017, at UnityPoint-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born October 16, 1967, in Waterloo, daughter of Elvin and Norma (Arends) Faris. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1986 and attended Hawkeye Community College. She earned an Associate’s degree from Kaplan University and was employed with Culver’s.

She is survived by a son, Adam (Reann Vaughn) Heggebo of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Aleah and Aaron Heggebo; her mother, Norma Faris of Cedar Falls; a sister, Cyndi Bontrager of Rochester, MN; and a brother, Dave Faris of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
