March 3, 1929 - April 17, 2017

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Mary Lou Ewalt-Harper, 88, of Cedar Falls died Monday, April 17, 2017 at her home.

She was born March 3, 1929 in Boardman Township, Iowa, daughter of Lawrence C. and Catherine (Ahrens) Maggert. She married Wilber Mack Ewalt on November 15, 1957 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He died March 19, 1989. She then married Brian Harper on July 10, 1993 in Parkersburg, Iowa. He died December 29, 2009.

She is survived by four sons: Robert (Sharon) Barr of Janesville, Larry Barr of Waterloo, Gary Ewalt of Waterloo, and Barry (Kari) Ewalt of Lee’s Summit, MO; and one granddaughter, Shana (Jeremy) Bergmann.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Sheri Ewalt.

Graveside Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Richardson Funeral Service assisted the family.
