Biography--

Lyle J. Larson, 91, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center ICU, in Waterloo.

He was born December 30, 1925, in Ossian, Iowa, son of Dr. and Mrs. Henry and Anna Josephine Larson. He married Ruth Denton on August 31, 1954, in Waterloo; she died June 26, 1998. He married Beverly Johnson on May 5, 2001, in Waterloo.

Lyle graduated from Ossian High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a production line worker at Rath Meat Packing from 1951 1984.

Lyle was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and Waterloo VFW Post No. 1623.

He is survived by his wife; two stepsons, Robert (Corliss) Struckman of Norfolk, Va., and William Struckman of Waterloo; a sister, Arlene Birdsall of Orange County, California; nephews, Dean Birdsall Orange and Timothy Birdsall of Cooksville, Tennessee.

Lyle is preceded in death by his parents.
